Nipper proficiency swim at Hale Aquatic Centre

The proficiency swim is a compulsory requirement for all Nippers (U6–U13), SRC and Bronze candidates to ensure water competency before the season begins.

The proficiency swim at Hale Aquatic Centre is a compulsory part of the Nippers and Youth programs. It ensures that all participants have the required water competency to take part in beach and surf activities safely.

All members in the following groups must attend:

  • Nippers from Under 6 to Under 13

  • Members aged 13–14 completing their Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)

  • Members aged 15 completing their Bronze Medallion

This session allows participants to complete their required swim evaluation ahead of the season start.

What to bring:

  • Bathers and towel

  • Goggles (optional)

  • Drink bottle

  • Sunscreen

Attendance is essential for participation in the season’s water activities.
